01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
At Ureshino, you can have your udon either with a dipping sauce or in a hot broth. One diner who tried the dipping style described the fine noodles as springy and glossy, and praised the rich soy-based sauce for its dashi flavour. Another, who chose hot udon, found the broth lighter than expected. Choose the more pronounced soy flavour of the dipping sauce, or a gentler bowl of hot udon, depending on your mood.
Lunch sets are available, and one diner who ordered a set with hot udon reported that it came with a salad first. The noodles are cooked to order, so some diners have noted a wait; allow plenty of time if you are stopping by for lunch.
The menu also includes meat udon, assorted tempura, shredded yam, itawasa (fish cake with wasabi) and curry rice. Whether you want to make udon the focus or add tempura or a lighter side dish, there are a few ways to put together a meal here.
